FAME


FAME is a 2009 American musical picture which is a sloppy remake of the 1980 picture of the similar name. It was directed by Kevin Tancharoen and written by Allison Burnett. It stars Kay Panabaker, Naturi Naughton, Asher Book, Paul McGill, Paul Iacono, Debbie Allen, Kelsey Grammer, Charles S. Dutton, Walter Perez, Megan Mullally and Anna Maria Perez de Taglé.


Fame is the remake of the '80s classic that focuses on a band of young students attending New York City High School for the performing arts (Known as Fiorello H. Laguardia H.S). Students study numerous aspects of feat such as acting, singing,dancing, etc. All of them wish to be stars. In 1936, New York City Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia founded the High School of Music & Art in order to provide a facility where the most exceptional and brilliant public school students of New York City could hunt their creativity in art or music, while also completing a full educational program of instruction. In 1948, the School of Performing Arts was created to bestow training in show talents to students who wished to groom themselves for professional careers in dance, music or drama. Students learn on the first day of classes that their faculties look forward to them to know everything. In dance class, Ms. Kraft is shocked by Kevin's dancing, but is easily awed by Alice. In acting class, Jenny feels awkward to let sloppy and be passionate like everybody else. In music class, Mr. Cranston gives Victor pointers, while Denise plays the music flawlessly on the piano. In the lunchroom, everyone practices their major and they all get up and dance ("This Is My Life"), and Denise and Malik escape the madness and they talk to each other.


It was released on September 25, 2009 in USA, Canada and the UK. The picture has received generally negative to mixed reviews, with the rating of 28% based on 87 reviews on the website Rotten Tomatoes and a 41 on Metacritic. The movie opened at #3 behind Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in its second weekend and the newly released Surrogates with approximately $11,113,077.
